Sita Chan's Memorial: Family, Friends and 300 Fans Line Up to Say Goodbye

26 year old HK singer Sita Chan got into a fatal accident on April 17th, and unfortunately passed away. Yesterday Sita's memorial service was held at Po Fook Memorial Hall, where her family, friends, colleagues and nearly 300 fans bid their last farewell to the singer. Sita's heartbroken mother wrote in her commemorate photo album: "I see your pajamas on your bed, the drafts of your songs on the table and your makeup products on your desk, my heart is torn from the pain! Her beauty is from inside to outside. This will be in my heart forever... I had such a wonderful daughter, there are no regrets!" Sita's father wrote: "You're my pride, I am proud of you! Hope we can be father and daughter again in the next life." Sita's sister wrote: "Sister, thank you for spending 20 years with me. We had our ups and downs. You will always be in my heart."

Sita had a Western-styled memorial, the hall was covered in white and pink colored roses with musical notes. The large picture of Sita as chosen by her family; it was from her second album, which had her bright smile, allowing everyone to forever remember her smile. Sita loved the cartoon character Doraemon during her lifetime, a large Doraemon cardboard doll was there to accompany her. Sita's younger sister made a short video to show during her funeral; Sita's remains will be cremated and placed at the Po Fook Memorial Hall.

Friends and fans initially wanted to fold 10,387 paper cranes to represent Sita's birthday October 3, 1987. Results, they folded over 60,000 paper cranes. During the service, a butterfly flew into the hall, which caught everyone's attention. There were nearly 300 fans who lined up early to get their turn to say goodbye, many were still in their school uniforms. Fans came out of the hall in tears, one fan girl expressed she liked Sita for a year and hopes she RIP.

Sita had many friends from the industry during her lifetime and several of them went to say their goodbyes too including Sammy Shum, Fiona Sit, Stephanie Cheng, Alex Fong, Siu Fay, Sandy Lau and her husband, Kelvin Kwan and HotCha's Winkle. Sandy and Siu Fay were sobbing so much, they needed someone to help them walk. Sammy didn't get to see Sita's body, he said with teary eyes: "Sita's family wanted to keep this low-profile. I already accepted her death, a good friend is gone. It's a pity. I feel Sita wants us to be happy, today there are so many friends here, she should be happy."

Sun Entertainment Culture initially planned to release Sita's new album All The Best at the memorial service, but unfortunately did not complete the production in time. However, 500 copies were available for family and friends. The boxset includes Sita's photo album, messages from her idols and good friends and one wedding dress photo that had never been publicized. Paco Wong: "This album should fulfill Sita's wish. She loves to sing and her biggest wish was for more people to listen to her songs. There are several thousand copies in the first batch."

Sita debuted in 2011, although she only had a short 2 years in the industry, she still formed many friendships in the industry. Her idols and many good friends contributed a message in her commemorative photo album.

You successfully made all those who love you remember your smile, proves you are very hard working and an artist worthy of the appreciation. Your vocals and smile is the best gift to your fans."
