Sheren Tang shed tears at Jacqueline Law's memorial service: 'She was an Angel'

Last month, former TVB actress Jacqueline Law passed away from pancreatic cancer in her Singapore home. Yesterday (July 12), the memorial service was held for the late actress. Good friends and relatives who were unable to attend Jacqueline's funeral in Singapore attended the memorial service to bid their final farewell. Good friends from the industry including Sean Lau, Sheren Tang, Ada Choi and her husband, Sherman Chung, Sharon Chan, Virgina Lok, Cindy Au, Annie Liu, Monica Chan, Dicky Cheung and many more.

For a less grieving memorial service, Jacqueline made many arrangements before her passing. She wanted her favorite Gospel song Return Home (回家) played during the service. This was to tell everyone she had just return to Heaven and that they do not need to cry. The remembrance book Grace Used Enough (恩典夠用) was also centered around the optimistic positive theme and made up of entirely happy photos of Jacqueline with her family and friends during her lifetime. The first page printed Jacqueline's 'My Golden Phrase': "God has his beautiful intentions for everything. No matter what troubles there are, it is all just happiness with makeup on!" She hoped this phrase would comfort her family and friends' grief. Her husband (Lau Chi Man), wrote a farewell message to Jacqueline in the book using English. Aside from strongly complementing that Jacqueline is someone in his heart that gives him beautiful light day after day, he frankly expressed losing Jacqueline made him feel lost, heartbroken and alone.

At the service, Sheren Tang was the only guest arranged to give a eulogy. Yesterday it was rumored when Jacqueline got married, she once gave all of the jewelries used for her marriage to Sheren and Monica Chan. Once complemented Jacqueline as an angel, denied without hesitation: "No, that's made up!" Sheren reveals she visited her before: "Earlier I visited her, the final time was while I was shooting Beauty at War. I had a day off one day, so I went with my mother to visit her in Singapore, at the time she was still doing well. (Any final words from her?) Usually we have a lot to chat about, nothing special. (Any final wishes?) Hope everyone believes in God. Jacqueline depended on Christianity to get out of the fear of death, very courageous." At this point, Sheren already started crying, then she said sobbing: "Jacqueline able to live this long, it is already a miracle after miracle. When we first heard she was ill, we were very hurt, but we didn't know how to feel grief because at the time she was still so spiritually active." Sheren said Jacqueline continuously did charity work during her lifetime, like in Hualien city Taiwan and holding events at the food bank.

Jacqueline Law passed away at 45 from pancreatic cancer (1966-2012)

According to news from Singapore, Jacqueline Law, who had been suffering from pancreatic cancer, passed away this morning (6/30th) at 4am in her home in Singapore. She was 45. This morning, Jacqueline's stepson met Singaporean reporters and confirmed the death of his stepmother and admits that she passed away at home. He reveals he and his family are currently preparing for the funeral to occur on July 4th, but his father (Lau Chi Man) expressed he's unwilling to reveal any further details and urges everyone to stay tuned for the obituary.

Jacqueline joined TVB in the 80s, and was given many opportunities at the time. She rose to fame after collaborating in the series The Final Combat with Stephen Chow. The two also had a 3 year underground relationship, but unfortunately it did not blossom. In 1997, due to the financial crisis, Jacqueline loses all her assets and that following year, her father passed away. When she and a friend went scuba diving, she came back partially deaf in her left ear and her right ear only had 20% hearing ability. She had a bumpy ride in life, which led to her depression.

In 2008, Jacqueline married wealthy businessman (Lau Chi Man) in Singapore and lived a wealthy life. She would just guest star in films and TV series from time to time. Recently, she was diagnosed with cancer and was often seen at the hospital. Chemotherapy rapidly dropped her weight down to 80 pounds. April 2012, at her stepson's wedding, Jacqueline carefully dressed for the occasion, but we all couldn't believe that this would be her last public appearance. Earlier this month, it was rumored Jacqueline passed away, it was said her condition worsen and that the pancreatic cancer already spread to her abdominal, kidney and liver. Today's news of Jacqueline's passing is just grieving.

Felix Wong collaborated with Jacqueline in TV series before. He said with grief: "The most memorable was in 1992, when I went to Taiwan with her and Kathy Chow for shooting. That time it was our first time shooting in Taiwan, we mutually supported each other!" He also praises that Jacqueline is an optimistic person and its such a pity that she's gone. RIP.
