Nic Tse Overcomes Melanoma, Cecilia Cheung: Bad People Won't Die That Quickly

It's rare that Nicholas Tse accepts TV interviews, but he appeared in last night's episode of Tell Maria, hosted by Maria Leitao (黎芷珊). As there is a convention on this talk show, each interviewee must share a small secret with the host. To our surprise, Nicholas' small secret is that he had skin cancer! When he discovered a black mole on the left side of his scalp, getting larger and larger, he went to check it out with a doctor. At the time, the doctor told him that he won't be able to remove the mole via electrolysis and discovered he had melanoma. The doctor said Nicholas had skin cancer and must be treated immediately. Last month, he was admitted to the hospital for the surgery to get the skin cancer completely removed and got 5 stitches. At the time, his mother Deborah Lai accompanied him to the hospital, but his father Patrick Tse did not know about it at all.

Last night Nic and his father Patrick arrived at the HK airport, they had just got back from Beijing. He causally accepted an interview, when asked how he's doing now? Nic said: "I'm ok, I'm ok. I'm fine! I just mentioned it in the interview and already said I'm fine." Nic was wearing a cap and it appears he hasn't shaved yet, he expressed its not because he's trying to cover his wound, just his hair is too short. He said he didn't tell his father about his condition: "He found out from the reports yesterday, but actually a lot of reporters showed more concern for me. I already said in the interview that I'm fine, but even if I'm not I won't say it!"

Nic frankly expressed the moment he found out about having skin cancer, he mind went black and he was most worried about his two sons, Lucas and Quintas. He immediately told his ex-wife, Cecilia Cheung about it: "She was very optimistic and told me not to worry! She said the Heaven won't let bad people die so quickly!" He repeated several times again that he is fine and that he won't be taking off from work. Instead, he told reporters not to make it such a big deal. When he was leaving, the media wished him good health, he responded: "Same to you!"

Nicholas Tse toils for 15 Years for solid fruit

For the 15th anniversary of the Hong Kong Hand Over, Xinhua News Agency earlier interviewed Nicholas Tse Ting Fung. This formerly rebellious and stubborn boy is now already a mature, wise and responsible man. However, as he said, show business "is not as glorious as everyone sees on the surface".

15 years ago, Hong Kong film still had variety. Nowadays Tse Ting Fung expressed some regret, in particular his long beloved action film is in the midst of the generation gap. "So when you ask me why I am so stubborn when I make movies, why I insist on doing it myself, because there is no one to take the baton." He admitted that he did not come from a martial art background, he could only under the motivation of his dream tough it out with his spirit. "You can say I am not an action actor, you don't dare to say I am not an actor who risks his life. In my movies, I am the one who jumps from the 41st floor."

Ting Fung was asked about Hong Kong's changes over these 15 years. He thought for awhile and said mischievously, "This Earth has many more iPads! I feel Hong Kong is still good, it can still insist on many of its own style. You can buy what you want to buy, for travel and promotion it is great." He said that such a small place could still have certain influence on the entire world, relying on just its 7 million people it was considered decent. Yet without the Mainland it still would fail.

Nicholas Tse and Cecilia Cheung to be business partners

Nicholas Tse and Cecilia Cheung might not be partners in love anymore but with their shared passion for cooking and food, they might be heading for a new kind of partnership.

The pair, whose divorce will be finalised at the end of May, has denied rumours that they will be reconciling.

However, the actress' friend revealed that the actress recently took up cooking lessons and claimed that "both Cecilia and Nicholas love cooking and she will bring their sons to taste Nicholas's cooking." The insider also revealed that the 31-year-old had recently put on weight as Nicholas had been cooking French cuisine frequently for the family of four.

Nicknamed "Chef Nic Nic", the actor is said to enjoy cooking for his friends, either experimenting with his own recipes or trying to replicate dishes from renowned restaurants.

Nicholas, who is interested in the food and beverage industry, is said to have planned to invest in a restaurant sometime this year. It is rumoured that he will be asking Cecilia on board, forming a partnership with his ex-wife for this venture.

Nicholas Tse denies reconciliation with Cecilia Cheung

Nicholas Tse and Cecilia Cheung's relationship had always been under intense media scrutiny, with speculation that they planned to bury the hatchet before the divorce finalizes at the end of May.

Nicholas has however, denied he is reconciling with his ex-wife and claims that their divorce will be finalised in two weeks.

Cecilia, who is in Guangzhou for an event, responded to the rumours yesterday, confirming that the couple will not be getting back together. "I am on very good terms with Nicholas, as friends, and I have no intention of changing this. I have never thought about reconciling and I will not do so," the actress let on, expressing her wish for the media to "stop looking so much into their relationship."

The couple's younger son, Quintus, will turn two this Saturday. Cecilia shared that she will be back in Hong Kong to celebrate his birthday with him and had invited Nicholas to the birthday party. She expressed that she hoped that "the family of four can celebrate it together."

When asked about how she is going to spend Mother's Day, the 31-year-old confessed that she had "ordered a bouquet of flowers for myself and will receive it on that day," adding that she will spend the day with her two sons.

Yang Mi refutes rumours of her dating Nicholas Tse

Speculations are rife that Chinese actress Yang Mi dumped her Hong Kong boyfriend Hawick Lau for Ghost Bullet co-star Nicholas Tse. Rumour has it that Yang Mi even went up to the latter's room at night to profess her love for Nicholas, whom she saw as an idol, when they were filmingGhost Bullet last year.

The rumour brought on a fierce debate between the trio's fans and many doubted the authenticity of the news.

He said, "Their (Hawick and Yang Mi) relationship is very stable. She paid us a visit when she was in Hong Kong for the Hong Kong Film Awards. Yang Mi is a good girl."

Nicholas Tse's new film faces title change

The Emperor Motion Picture SIU SUT DIK JI DAN (VANISHED BULLET) starred Nicholas Tse Ting Fung, Lau Ching Wan and Mini Yang Mi and has been scheduled for a June release.
