Psy’s “Gentleman” audio preview out

Psy‘s new single “Gentleman” is already out in some countries! The song is releasing on April 12th across 119 nations.

This comes as a change since the original plan was for Psy to begin his comeback with the release on Korean music sites first on the 12th before revealing it to the rest of the world afterwards on the 13th. However, due to questions flooding in from overseas fans and music reps, the agency has decided to reveal it through iTunes in 119 countries at the same time as the domestic release on the 12th.

The song isn’t the only thing you can look forward to since the MV is also getting a lot of hype with the casting of ‘Infinity Challenge‘ members and Brown Eyed Girls‘ Ga In. After this worldwide release, Psy will then go on to perform the song for the first time during his ‘HAPPENING‘ concert on the 13th.

Big Bang’s “Fantastic Baby” & Psy’s “Gangnam Style” featured on GLEE

Many Kpop fans were expecting to see Psy‘s “Gangnam Style” on FOX‘s hit American musical comedy-drama television series “GLEE“. However, they were in for a surprise when Big Bang‘s “Fantastic Baby” was also briefly featured on the show.

During one point in the show, Harry Shum Jr.’s character Mike Chang stated, “Korean boy bands are tearing up the music scene and there’s a lot that we can learn from them“. He then proceeds to dance familiar dance steps to the music of “Fantastic Baby”.

If you can recall, both Harry Shum Jr. and Kevin McHale of “GLEE” attended Big Bang’s ‘Alive Tour 2012‘ concert in Anaheim earlier in the month.

Netizens in Disbelief after Seeing the Photo that Sparked PSY and YoonA’s “Affair” Rumors

As we reported yesterday, a Chinese media reported that PSY and Girls’ Generation’s YoonA were in a secret affair. However, it’s been revealed that the report was based on a photo of YoonA wandering the streets with a man. In the photo that was included in the article, YoonA is seen wearing a hooded jacket. She’s seen walking and talking with a man who has his face covered with a cap. The Chinese report stated that his man was in fact world super star PSY.

Angry netizens, however, recognized the scene from popular SBS variety show “Running Man” that aired earlier this year. It’s been confirmed that the photo was actually taken by the “Running Man” team and uploaded as a BTS still on its website.

Netizens commented, “Are you kidding me? Really? This is what you based your report on?” “This is unbelievable,” “Just because someone is Asian with single eyelids doesn’t make them all PSYs,” and more.

According to the Chinese report, PSY, who often produces songs for other others, met YoonA about six months ago at a party. While YoonA hid in the corner and hardly said much, PSY was able to warm up to her with his fun and easy-going personality. Afterwards, YoonA attended parties hosted by PSY and developed their secret affair. The report stated, “While PSY's affair has not been publicly reported, his wife was well aware of their relationship. However, she kept quiet to protect PSY’s career and her family. PSY married his wife in 2006 and have twin daughters.”

Both YoonA and PSY’s respective agencies said that the claims weren’t even worth responding to. Guess they were right!

Psy wants to teach President Obama the “Gangnam Style” dance in person

Psy asked President Barack Obama to invite him to the White House.

The president had previously revealed that he knew of “Gangnam Style“, and earlier today, Psy was a guest on British radio station, ‘Capital FM‘. The DJ asked Psy, “Do you think you can make a horse dance video that President Obama can learn from?“. Psy answered, “I gotta teach him face to face, not like this… This is really hard on video you know. I gotta teach him step by step and it’s too complicated.”

Psy turned to the camera that was filming him and said, “So you should invite me once. I’ll teach you when I’m there.“

Psy’s new song will be in half English and half Korean?

Psy recently sat down to discuss his widespread fame with CNN, and during the interview, the singer dropped some new details about his upcoming song!

There had been some confusion initially about whether his new release in the U.S. would be done in Korean or English for it was said that his label had suggested he keep his songs Korean, while later it was revealed that Psy and his representatives were in discussion to produce a song in English.

However, in the latest interview, Psy specifically mentioned, “It’s half Korean, half English, so I kind of united them together. And it has another dance move. I cannot predict that it’ll be stronger than the ‘horse’, but still, I’ve got a really nice feeling about the choreography.”

He also went on to reveal that he is not expecting the new release to top “Gangnam Style“, saying, “I cannot beat ‘Gangnam Style’, I don’t think so.”

In addition to the details about his new release, Psy also discussed his reaction to his rise to worldwide fame as well as what he believes was the key to the spread of his music.

Psy performed on the most recent broadcast of ‘The X-Factor Australia‘.

The “Gangnam Style” singer performed his hit song, and Mel B of the Spice Girls even joined him on stage after his performance. Viewers voted for Mel B as the judge they most wanted to see perform the “horse dance” with Psy.

Psy traveled to Australia for the show on the 15th KST. Afterwards, he’ll be heading to the United States for more scheduled TV appearances as well as preparations for his new album.

Psy ranks #1 in 10 different countries

Psy‘s “Gangnam Style” is still climbing higher and higher.

Psy has already ranked #1 on the iTunes charts of 31 countries, #2 on Billboard‘s ‘Hot 100‘ chart, then #1 on UK’s charts, and then again #1 in Austraila. He has gone on and is now reported to have reached #1 in 8 other countries including Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, New Zealand, and Norway.

All the good news seems to just fuel the anticipation for Psy to reach #1 on Billboard’s ‘Hot 100′ this week on the coming 4th.
