Sonija Kwok plans to try for a boy next year

Sonija Kwok, Sunny Chan, Tracy Ip, Raymond Wong, Katy Kung and Patrick Tang attended the costume fitting for TVB new series Record of the Fifth Day Opening. This is Sonija's comeback since her pregnancy, she was in great shape. She frankly expressed she is ready to launch both physically and mentally. This time she plays a 'Big Sister' role: "I haven't done a series in this time period, it's very beautiful and I have heavy screen time in the series. I play a Big Sister, the person in charge. Sonija Kwok denies making a comeback because she has to support family

Since Sonija Kwok's daughter Kylie is already 3 months old, she is ready to make her comeback in TVB new series Record of the Fifth Day Opening. Yesterday Sonija was back at TVB City for the costume fitting.

Recently a magazine reported Sonija has to bear the responsibility to support the family because her husband's income isn't high enough. Yesterday Sonija responded on Weibo, she stressed there is nothing she lacks in life. "In this world, there are many people and things that are worthy of our appreciation. Humans have feelings and money can't be used to weight everything. I realized that the value this 'magazine' brings out can honestly worry people. At this stage, I have a very pleasant life and there is nothing I lack. I have a family, I have a daughter and I hope to make progress in my career. My reality is very different from the magazine's imaginations."

Sonija Kwok hopes to try for a boy; Resuming work at TVB in September

Last year Sonija Kwok married Chinese martial arts choreographer (Zhu Shaojie) and they had a daughter in May of this year. After she gave birth, she focused entirely on her daughter and didn't make a public appearance in HK until yesterday when she appeared for a promotion at a shopping mall to earn extra 'milk money'. The event organizer had two little girls go up on stage to give her flowers and kisses, which made the new mother really happy.

Sonija hasn't completely lost all her weight from the pregnancy yet, but on stage she shared her experiences as a mother. She often chats with Leila Tong about baby caring tips. She reveals her three month old daughter, Kylie, already knows how to say "L Gu" and that she got Kylie a skinhead cut. Sonija exposed her husband mixed the coffee powder and baby formula up and almost gave coffee to her daughter. Such a funny incident! When asked how her daughter is doing now? Sonija talked nonstop about her: "Kylie is so easy to take care of, she doesn't cry much and is very well behaved. At first, I didn't have any experience, so I didn't dare to give her a bath, but now I'm used to it. I don't think the childbirth and baby caring process is difficult at all. Earlier there were problems with the milk formula, but fortunately she no longer drinks from that brand. In the meantime, I won't be leaving HK for work because I can't bear to separate from my daughter for too long. I think she should be at least 6 months old before I can consider taking her to Mainland to visit her dad."

Sonija also expressed her daughter is nicknamed "LL", and does not mind shooting ads together as a 'mother-daughter' team. She said: "I often upload photos of my daughter on Weibo, so I don't mind exposing her to the public. We can shoot ads together, that's a happy thing. I also hope to try for another baby. It would be best if the baby is a boy, so I can have the word 'good'!"

Sonija is preparing to make a comeback on-screen, she is currently scheduled to start a new TVB series Fifth Day Revelation mid September. She stressed she didn't ask the other artists to accommodate her, so she'll have more time to be with her daughter. When she starts working, her mother will babysit Kylie. When asked if she has followed ex-boyfriend Deric Wan's recent rumor, where a Mainland model exposes that he's a love swindler? Sonija said she did hear about it, but she won't comment. As for herself, she has never been cheated by him, and it's been a long time since they been in touch.

Sonija Kwok caught in a fix

It is rumoured that Hong Kong actress Sonija Kwok's mother is unhappy with her son-in-law's weak financial status and yelled at him on the streets after dinner with the couple.
Married to Chinese action-choreographer Zhu Shaojie, the 37-year-old booked a VIP hospital ward in a France hospital to welcome the arrival of their first baby girl. The actress had however, reportedly footed the bill of SG$20,060 herself, knowing that her husband does not earn as much as her.

Last Thursday, Shaojie was seen accompanying Sonija and her mother out for dinner. However, the action-choreographer was spotted being scolded by the actress' mother along the streets two times in a row as he quickened his pace and pretended nothing happened.

According to a tip-off, Sonija's mother did not know much about Shaojie's financial status when they first got married. Sonija's mother was under the impression that her future son-in-law had a "bright future" after she was told that he owned a production company and has a wide network of contacts. However, it was later revealed to her that Shaojie stays in a rented apartment and owns a "small-scale" production company. It is speculated that Sonija's mother scolded her son-in-law after she found out the actress paid for the hospital bill herself and was unhappy with Shaojie's low income. Caught in the middle, Sonija requested for her husband to tolerate his mother-in-law's demands.
