Kate Tsui Not Wasting Time, Find Mr. Right and Go Right into Marriage

Yesterday Kate Tsui, Sammy Sum and William Chak attended the promotional event of TVB Pearl drama Elementary. Kate appeared to have slimmed down, she disclosed she is preparing to shoot a fashion commercial, thus she has to eat less and exercise more to lose weight. She has already lost several pounds.

Asked if her weight loss might shrink her cup size? She laughed: "I never really had much anyway. Its more like my wallet is shrinking because the weight loss machine cost money too. This is my fourth year collaborating with the slimming company, and I get a raise each time we collaborate. I'm very pleased." In the past year, Kate has been so busy, its impossible to ever finish working. She disclosed she will be heading to Taiwan to shoot a new film, then flying over to Singapore for promotions, then to Genting for a concert and finally to Beijing for the film festival.

Since she's earning so much now, does she intend to buy another home? She said: "What do you mean another? I'm currently living with my mother, but I promised her I'll be a homeowner this year and have my parents live comfortably after retirement. The housing prices are just too high, I will have to wait until the prices fall a little first before I'm capable of buy one."

Asked whether she plans to buy a mansion? She said: "No, but my mom has her own expectations on a home. Well I do want her to live comfortably too. (Does she have high expectations on your choice of boyfriend too?) She has rushed me, she said its urgent, but I don't want to be impulsive. She told me not to waste any more time, I must choose a right one and date the guy only if he is a marriagable partner. Even my friends are trying to introduce me to guys now, but I don't want to be impulsive."

Sharon Chan dismisses conflict with Kate Tsui

Sharon Chan recently debunked reports of a conflict with her "My Prime Lady" co-star, Kate Tsui.

According to Mingpao, the actress, who attended the "Din-Dong Summer House" promotional event in Ma On Shan recently, was enthusiastic to talk about the highly anticipated series. She brushed off talks about her supposed conflict with Kate, which was believed to be caused by their desire to have more screen time.

Kate Tsui is still in pain

TVB actress Kate Tsui may have continuously stressed that she is fine despite her accident on the set of "My Prime Lady", but her inability to bend down, as witnessed by the media recently, clearly showed that the actress has spoken too soon about her health.

According to a report on HK Channel, the actress, who was shooting for an outdoor wedding scene at a hotel in Tseung Kwan O recently, realised that she is unable to bend down to help a reporter pick up a notebook without feeling any pain.

"I've had no time to see the doctor for further check-ups," claimed the actress.

However, Kate assured that the filming crew have been working hard to ensure that the floors are dry, so that accidents will not occur again.

In late May, the actress was rushed to the hospital after slipping on a wet floor as she was wearing a pair of five-inch heels, and ended up with a tailbone injury. However, against advice to rest properly, the actress decided to return to the set in less than 48 hours after her accident to resume filming.

Kate Tsui Surprised Birthday, Dayo Wong Refuses to Give Kiss

Yesterday Kate Tsui, Dayo Wong, Sharon Chan, Toby Leung and Grace Wong were filming at the mall for TVB new series My Prime Lady. They were filming during lunch hour and attracted a lot of young school girls surrounding the location to watch them film. Also, it is Kate's 34th birthday today (6/19th). Dayo, Sharon and Grace surprised her with a birthday cake and a birthday song. The birthday girl screamed in excitement.

As Kate's partner in this series, of course Dayo gets to stand right next to her, but when asked to give her a birthday kiss, Dayo was unwilling to give in. Luckily that didn't affect the birthday girl's excited mood. She said: "I was so surprised. This is my first birthday cake this year. No wonder the crew told me to come early today, it turns out they were lying to me. I never thought this would happen. It feels so warm. (How are you going to spend your actual birthday?) I have to work. I already celebrated once with my family on Father's Day. This year I won't have any big celebrations, just have dinner with my friends! (Birthday wish?) Be healthy. I hope the series will be well-received! Because this is my first comedy series."

Sharon Chan plays Kate's good sister in the series, she expressed she picked out a gift for the birthday girl. She laughed: "I purposely teamed up with the other cast, planning to surprise Kate." A few days ago when Sharon was shooting a scene where she gets suspending on wires, she ends up falling while coming back down and bumps her leg on the wooden ladder. She has a large bruise on her leg now. It seems like the cast from this series are getting injured one after another, is it necessary for them to hold another blessing ceremony? Sharon said: "That time, it was just because I wasn't careful! Also, its an accident. I don't even need to see the doctor!"

Kate Tsui has no need to be sexy

"My Prime Lady" leading actress Kate Tsui revealed that she has always been androgynous, and did not expect to be associated with the words sexy and confident at all.

Kuang Ai TVB reported that the actress said that she has always been a tomboy, enjoyed watching sports, and was never able to relate to being a sexy actress.

The 33-year-old actress expressed, "What is sexy? Maybe it is because every woman has a fragile side. In my eyes, Charlize Theron is the epitome of a sexy goddess. I like how she has her own lifestyle and attitude."

However, despite her determination to retain her outgoing boyish personality, Kate admitted that she has always believed in love.

The actress expressed, "I do believe in true love and that I will find him one day. However, I really do not want to date anyone in the [entertainment] circle. It's just like how people are against office romance – I don't want things to get more complicated than it should."

When asked about the man of her dreams, Kate described, "Someone who is intelligent, humorous, and has a bit of an artistic talent. I want to be able to learn from him, to be enlightened by him, and to be able to discover new meanings in being together."

She added, "I have never thought about marriage and don't have any expectations, but what I do know is that if I were to get married and have kids, I will leave the entertainment circle to take care of my family."

Kate Tsui Insists on Wearing 5-Inch Heels Despite Prior Injury

Last night, Kate Tsui appeared at an event in a super deep V red dress with a big opening at her 'center gate', very sexy. She expressed she did all her safety measures to prevent exposure. A reporter mentioned there is a big 'mole' on her chest. Kate joked: "It must come out to say hi to everyone from time to time!"

Earlier Kate accidentally slipped while shooting a scene for TVB series My Prime Lady and injured her tailbone. Although she had not recovered yet, she still wore 5-inch heels to the event last night, but walked extremely carefully. She had her two assistants help her walk.

Kate expressed she returned to work a few days ago, "The first day I was still in a lot of pain; the second day my waist was still hurting; and even now I still can't move too much. The crew has been treating me very well, once I walk into the studio, they ensure all the wires and cords are out of my way." Kate has also started physical therapy and has to see an orthopedic, but Kate insisted that she won't give up on heels, "Its difficult for girls not to wear heels, but health is the most important." An injury can get serious though, asked if she's worried this might affect her fertility? She frankly expressed: "I haven't thought about it like that. I'm working everyday and don't have the time. Actually I'm afraid of seeing the specialist orthopedic, I'm scared of pain! (Not recovered yet and already getting back to work?) The work had been scheduled before, I didn't want to change it."

Bosco Wong was also at the event and expressed he did not call Bella Lam to talk about their rumors earlier. He expressed: "The news is just for fun, you're all just joking." In regards to Raymond Lam pocketing over 10 million RMB from shooting a Mainland series? He said: "I don't make that much, don't talk about money. I decide based on the script." Also, Bosco disclosed he has 60-70% of the completed script on hand and about the resting time, it is difficult to arrange, but he won't accept every series. He also hopes to make enough money as soon as possible to buy a new home.

Kate Tsui Haven't Fully Recovered, Rushes Back to Work

On Monday night, Kate Tsui had an accident while shooting for new series My Prime Lady, where she injured her tailbone. Kate was on the floor paralyzed for 10 minutes and cried in pain. She was later accompanied to the emergency room with co-star Dayo Wong and the producer. After two days of rest, Kate returns to work. She was seen in flats and walked carefully into TVB.

Kate expressed her injury is getting better already, she said: "Thank you for your concern. My tailbone is swollen, the X-rays showed no fractures. (Returning to work so fast?) I got a few days doctor's note, but I think I'm fine. I don't want to interrupt the filming schedule and the next few days is only office scenes. I don't have to move that much. They all love me very much. (Are you still going to wear such high heels again?) No other choice, I'm not tall enough. Nobody wants an accident to happen. Even if I was wearing flats that day, I would have fell too. (Dayo Wong felt guilty for not cleaning the water earlier?) It's not his fault, I will talk to him. I'm touched to have my friends and colleagues' comfort."

Is Kate worried her injured tailbone may cause infertility? She said: "At the time I was frightened, felt very confused and only knew to cry. I didn't ask the doctor about that, it should be fine. The doctor is quite handsome actually. I hope there won't be repercussions." Kate added she will still take on the scenes herself and even suggested to the producer not to let her accidental fall "go to waste", it could be used in the series.

Kate Tsui's Painful Backwards Fall Injuring Tailbone, Rushed to ER

Kate Tsui is currently busy shooting for TVB new series My Prime Lady. Last night, she and her co-star Dayo Wong were shooting inside TVB City in Tseung Kwan O, the scene was about Kate splashing water on Dayo with a cup. Unfortunately Kate, who had 5-inch heels on, accidentally slipped on the wet floor. She fell backwards and basically body slammed on the ground. Dayo, producer Man Wai Hung and the other staff were all very concerned and went forward to help her, while Kate was still on the ground sobbing in pain. The security personnel quickly called the ambulance to take her to the emergency room. Dayo and Producer Man accompanied her.

At around midnight, Kate was seen sitting on a wheelchair waiting for her turn. Soon after, the doctor came to treat her and did some X-rays. The doctor confirmed Kate's tailbone was not broken, just injured and suggested her not to do any walking. She should stay home and rest for a few days. Kate's manager, Candy Ma, pushed her to the ER exit. Dayo patted Kate and said: "You take care!"

Kate was initially suppose to attend My Prime Lady's blessing ceremony, but due to her accident, she was unable to attend. She accepted a telephone interview and expressed after the accident, she could not move at all: "I was really scared, didn't know what to do, so I started crying! Luckily the doctor said there are no broken bones, but that area is swollen. I have to take antibiotics. But because I used my hand to reduce the force during the fall, I ended up spraining my hand as well. I will just have to take a good rest at home and try not to move around too much. (Still going to film with heels on in the future?) I still need to if necessary, but I'll be more careful. Also, I don't want to take too many days off, it won't be good to affect the filming progress." It was understood, Kate is returning to work today (5/29th).

Kate Tsui: TVB Lacking Artists, Similar Cast in Every Series

Yesterday Kate Tsui participated in a McDonalds charity event, where she especially visited ill children at their school. When speaking of Angelina Jolie getting a double mastectomy to prevent breast cancer, Kate said: "She conveyed a very important message, that is girls should really pay attention to their health. I get my periodical physical exams too. (Queenie Chu is considering getting a mastectomy after age 40?) That is a very big decision to make. If there it is because of the family health history, then I think must proactively face the fact and I can accept mastectomy."

As for the recent wide rumors of TVB artists leaving the company to develop their careers elsewhere? Kate's contract has not expired yet, she said: "Where you go is not important, the role is the most important, but I'll miss my colleagues if they're leaving. TVB is really lacking artists, several series has the same pairings and does not create enough sparks. Everyone hopes to see new sparks. In every series we see, it's either you or me. I know the audience will complain. (It was rumored the former iCable artists has an executive supporting them and are getting more opportunities?) I don't care who or where, just as long as there are new sparks, that would be good."

Kate Tsui Turns "HK Girl" gets All Over Dayo Wong on the Streets of Central

Last night, Kate Tsui, Dayo Wong and Grace Wong were shooting in Central for TVB new series My Prime Lady. The scene was about Dayo and Kate demonstrating how a "HK Guy" and "HK Girl" date on the street to the tomboy Grace. Dressed in a fire red deep V dress, Kate first bit her lip and brushed her hair to the side, then forced Dayo to make a kiss expression to take pictures with her. Kate was all over Dayo and making whiny noises.

Asked if the two have any kiss scenes? Dayo said: "This lesson does not teach kissing. That lesson would be more expensive. (Kiss scenes?) I'm not sure about later, but not at the moment." When speaking of the recent tide of low ratings for TVB series, it was rumored My Prime Lady is going to rescue the ratings? Dayo said: "It's a rumor. I believe this series won't be able to broadcast for the next 6 months because we still have to take out several months of filming plus a few more months of post-production work. (Worried about the ratings?) I don't think we can predict the ratings for any series."

As for the "HK girl" Kate Tsui, she laughed and said its hard to be one. Kate said: "I was watching the playbacks, I couldn't stand myself. This time, we are trying to be funny, so some parts are a bit dramatic. (Succeed Dayo?) Of course not! Because he's god-level, I'm just a normal commoner." When speaking of Tavia Yeung's intentions of heading up north for gold digging? Kate expressed let nature take its course, the most important is character development.

Grace appeared in a black low-cut outfit, she frankly expressed she felt very nervous filming with Dayo. She disclosed she's just guest starring in 3 episodes.

Kate Tsui to Co-Star Dayo Wong in New Series, Feels Stressed & Can't Sleep

Kate Tsui attended the Hunter Pop Up Store event, where she showed off her beautiful long legs. Chrissie Chau was also at the event, but only had a small "career line" cleavage, which instantly stole Kate's limelight. Kate did not mind at all, she laughed: "She had always been sexier than me. I'm not the sexy type anyway!" She expressed Chrissie looks slimmer than before: "She used to be very well-shaped, but that does not mean she's not beautiful now. She's still very beautiful! (She doesn't have a boyfriend!) I don't have one either, but I'm so big!" Kate laughed and said she'll be starting a new series with Dayo Wong soon, and by then she'll get thinner and thinner. "When the time comes people will probably pity me, a pitiful piggy!" Kate disclosed she went for costume tryouts earlier and couldn't sleep. "I'm collaborating with Dayo Wong. I'm rarely in comedies, so I really don't know what to do and feel really nervous. I couldn't sleep. Actually earlier when I was on break and went on vacation to England, I watched his stand-up comedy show there. I'm also watching his War and Genders and Your Hired! I thought I could do some homework first. I really feel stressed! (Dayo said he wanted a kiss scene with you!) That's so embarrassing! He said that? We're professional artists, that's fine!"

Kate said she didn't have any one-night affairs during her trip in England. "When I was in England, the Boston Terror happened. I was alone in a foreign country, any stranger who comes close to me, I was afraid. After all, I just dashed away when I see strangers. I'm afraid of danger. What if I couldn't come back to HK? I still have to take care of my parents."

Kate Tsui Takes the Baton in April, Pairs with Dayo Wong in New TVB Series

It has been widely rumored Dayo Wong will be back to shoot a TVB series this year, aside from the opportunity to work with his You're Hired! partner Charmaine Sheh again, producer Tsui Wing Hong also had intentions tho shoot a sequel to 2000's popular sitcom War of Genders with Dodo Cheng. However, it was understood Dayo is actually returning to TVB in April for producer Man Wai Hung's new modern comedy series. The female leads are Kate Tsui and Sharon Chan. Dayo will continue his light-hearted and humorous acting style in the new series. The other cast includes comedian Louis Yuen, Benz Hui, Jazz Lam, "Siu Bo" May Chan and Elena Kong.

Producer Man Wai Hung previously worked on You're Hired! with Dayo, yesterday he accepted a telephone interview and when asked if he has intentions to bring Dayo and Charmaine back to 'continue their fate'? Producer Man frankly expressed: "We really wanted to get Charmaine back, but she couldn't make it work on her schedule." As for Dayo making his comeback, does he have any special requests or opinions? He said: "He's very nice, we had pleasant discussions. Earlier Dayo was busy with his comedy show world tour, but now we are planning the concept, story and direction of the series together."

Kate Tsui, who is paired up with Dayo in the series, expressed she cannot describe how happy she is. She said: "I have many friends who are Dayo fans. I believe after the news comes out, my friends will be visiting us on the set all the time. However, I'm still listening to the story and haven't seen Dayo yet." Reporters teased she replaced Charmaine, she said: "Impossible, how am I qualified? But having this opportunity, I will definitely give it my greatest effort." Kate expressed she knows Dayo is a very serious artist and most of his series have been highly rated and well acclaimed, so she's feeling stressed and nervous.

The other female lead, Sharon Chan, frankly expressed she greatly admires Dayo's talent and really looks forward to work with him. In the series, Sharon plays Kate's good friend, but has a crush on Dayo. They'll end up in a complicated love triangle. She said: "I watch Dayo's stand-up comedy shows! (Do you have a romantic storyline with him?) My role has a small crush on him, it's the misunderstanding type.. He plays my boss and enthusiastically tries to change me, making me turn from someone lacking self-confidence to a successful person. So, I thought he liked me."

Kate Tsui & Ruco Chan Cheated through 10km Marathon; HKTV Artists Jogged the Whole Way

TVB, HKTV, CRHK and other individual artists signed up to participate in a marathon yesterday. Although TVB sent out over 40 artists, only half of them were really jogging, the other half faked it. Kate Tsui, Ruco Chan, Sai Sai Lap (May Chan), Jerry Koo and Priscilla Wong just did the jogging for an hour and was done with it. Ricky Wong's HKTV sent out 20 artists and jogged the whole 10km. The artists included Noel Leung, Leila Tong, Yuen Wah, Kwok Fung and Catherine Chau. There were massaging and buffet services as well. Hilary Tsui and Annie Liu were fully prepared to face the challenge. They jogged for 58 minutes and 1 hour and 5 minutes respectively. They each broke their individual records from last year.

Kate and Ruco did not seem dressed appropriately for the occasion. Kate was dressed in black leather pants, while Ruco had jeans on. They explained because they still have to go to work after the marathon. Asked if they feared that people will say they only have the posture and not the actual practice? Kate said: "I tried my best. I have a supportive heart. I got out of bed at 2am and got here at 5am." She claimed her health isn't good, she was afraid participating in this 10km marathon, she still wouldn't finish if she walked for 2 hours. "To avoid embarrassment, if I jogged until I ran out of breath, that would be embarrassing." When asked if she's helping TVB counter HKTV? Kate said: "How am I qualified? After all, TVB told me to come."

This is the first marathon 200 pound Sai Sai Lap participates in. She laughed: "I've never really do exercise. The majority of my exercise is napping. Actually, this isn't considered a really long run, just along the East District's slanted highway , but it still feels like a long run. I'm so tired. This is already enough challenge for me." She laughed, next year she'll consider actually participating in the competition: "Exercise is good. If I can't jog, I can walk. The organizers will supply water and bananas. 10km, I can eat 10 bananas."

Kenneth Ma, Myolie Wu, Kate Tsui, Ron Ng - Uncovers Attack Strategy on Love

[Cover Story - Speaks out the Four Season Love Song] - Spring, the time of love when the heart beats rapidly, the feeling of first love; Autumn, the increasing warm atmosphere, the season of passionate love; Winter, the blooming [relationship] turns into exhaustion, how to keep the romance refreshing? Summer, the frozen heart, the time when love comes to an end. In the new romantic series Season of Love, Kate Tsui, Ron Ng, Myolie Wu and Kenneth Ma are the leads in two of the four love stories. On the television screen, the four artists have portrayed several different love stories and became the gods and goddesses in the hearts of fans. Gods and Goddesses need love too, but exactly what kind of love are the four leads searching for? Fans, remember to grab your seats, sit tight and pay close attention to your idols, as they uncover their attack strategies on love.

Kate Tsui - One Concentrated Heart

In the series, Kate plays a reality TV show producer and also one of the leads on the dating show. In the show four men actively pursues her at the same time and she accepts the love from all four of them. She simultaneously dates four men and chooses her husband right on the show (similar to The Bachelorette). Kate expressed its difficult for her to accept that kind of situation in real life, "If you just treat it as a show, then it's possible, but it is impossible to just rely on a TV show to find a husband. I don't really understand how a woman can be dating four men simultaneously? I don't think it can be possible. Every individual has a different standard. For me, I think if a girl gives a chance to so many different men at the same time, I really think there is a problem. I don't agree to that nor can I focus on so many different men. There should be a limit to everything. This is not how you should be giving chances to others and it is also unfair to each and every one of them. For me, I am very serious on my relationships, I won't play around."

Ron Ng - Memorable First Love, Rapid Heart Beats

Ron Ng plays Kate's childhood lover, their love sparked from bickering, but unfortunately because neither of them were unwilling to say 'I love you', their relationship didn't get anywhere. First love will always be memorable no matter how it ends, Ron expressed he still remembers the feeling of his heart racing when he saw his first love. "I remember when I was in elementary school, I liked a girl in the other class, every time I saw her, I would get so nervous and I always look at her secretly. However, I kept this feeling inside. When we were young, how would we know how to confess our feelings to a girl, we were really innocent. Two of my classmates started dating, they would just go to school together and get out of school together, they didn't even hold hands. So, when my crush and I advanced to the next grade, we didn't see each other again, unless it was at some big class event. But, I still remember that feeling clearly and was able to put it into good use when Kate and I were pretending to be school girl and boy."

Myolie Wu - Refreshing Feeling

Season of Love is a rare series with different stories, Myolie enjoys this format for a series because it brings a refreshing feeling to the audience. "I think these pure love stories are pretty good, every pair gets 5 episodes, the workload is not too heavy. Usually a 20 episode series may have several supporting stories too, this time the plot does still concentrates on Kenneth Ma and I, but the story doesn't need to display too much. There are a lot of refreshing and innovative plots, I think TVB should produce more of these kinds of series. As for my collaboration with Kenneth, of course I'm happy! He's a 'suen poon'! This is my first time portraying a couple with him, and I hope the audience will like this pairing and the sparks we create."

In the story, Myolie plays a girl searching for her loss memories, and asked Kenneth Ma, who plays a private detective, to help her. While the two were investigating, they slowly developed feelings, but unfortunately Myolie carried too many burdens and memories of her and her ex-lover. Because of this, she was unable to accept Kenneth's love. Myolie expressed in real life, she has her worries in her love life too, "It's hard to say if there are similarities between the characters in the story and our real lives. Letting go of the past relationship, but still have worries in starting a new relationship because the situations we face in reality varies. However, I take many factors into consideration because I am an artist, so I wish to really think clearly about my love life and make it perfect."

Kenneth Ma - True & False Love

Kenneth and Myolie's last collaboration was in 2006's To Grow with Love. Kenneth expressed its a joy working with Myolie again because he can finally 'date' her! "Last time, the story was about me pursuing Myolie, but this time I'm finally successful. It's not often to be so happy when filming a series. I requested the producer to give us a kiss scene, haha!" Kenneth and Myolie had a pleasant collaboration, no wonder Kenneth didn't find it difficult portraying a man giving up his ex-lover to bitterly wait for Myolie to accept his love. Kenneth said: "In reality, if I really liked a girl and she isn't ready to be with me yet, I am also willing to wait for her. I won't be so stubborn with my ex-girlfriend and I still maintain a friendship with my ex-girlfriends, just like my first love is already married now, but I still keep in touch with her. I know she found her other half who is better than me, I am happy for her and feel relieved."

Although Kenneth was happy to have the opportunity to 'date' Myolie, but when they were filming, the magazines reported he was the third party in Myolie and Bosco Wong's relationship and was the one who cause their break up. This made the public dislike Kenneth. He said: "There will be rumors in this industry, I don't mind. Just as long as the magazine's stories aren't too complicated, and won't affect other people, then it's fine. However, that time when Myolie and I were rumored, it was a little awkward because the article said they broke up because of me. Because the rumor involved breaking up another couple, I didn't think that was too good. If my rumored partner is single and not married, then I don't mind being a rumored couple with them. Sometimes rumored couples get more opportunities to make extra income, such as shooting commercials together."

Kate Tsui Ready to get Married in the Year of Snake

Bosco Wong and Kate Tsui collaborate once again as a couple in Lunar New Year film I Love Hong Kong 2013. The 'sexy goddess' Veronica Yip also makes a comeback as a guest star, however the two have no fate to meet. Kate plays Veronica's younger version, although she clearly knows their body figures are 'total opposites', Kate joked she's considered the 'pre-puberty version', she laughed: "I'm the Veronica from 30 years ago, at the time she still hasn't gone through full puberty yet, but I do need to 'package' myself a little too."

Bosco is currently single, is it because he's frightened by the rumors with Mainland actress Ada Lin? He declared he does not want 'peach blossom' fate in the Snake year, "I plan to put a iron tree up this year because its difficult for iron trees to blossom. (Are you waiting for Myolie Wu?) She's not a bus, waiting for a breakthrough in my career, working hard!"

Kate is also single, but she has a different thought than Bosco. She expressed if she finds her Mr. Right, she'll get married this year. Kate said: "I'll be married within 3 months, then I'll have a baby and then immediately retire too." She admits she currently does have a pursuer, but he's not right for her. As for her criteria in choosing a boyfriend, she wants someone older than her and he must be financially stabled.

Raymond Lam a "Spicy" Tactic to Fatten Up Kate Tsui

Happy New Year! Year 2012 has now become the past. Raymond Lam and Kate Tsui are still loaded with jobs despite their TV King and Queen loss. On the New Year's Eve, after going out attending events and making extra income, the two met up for a New Year's Eve party. Raymond and Kate gave up on the tradition of having Western dishes, but instead had curry and other spicy dishes to drive away the cold stream. Raymond teased Kate that she's way too skinny and kept feeding her food in hope to fatten her up!

The 'aiya siblings' were like two big kids playing nonstop. Kate posed with her cross-eyes and Raymond played along and did the same. Not long after, Raymond played a joke on Kate, he kept feeding her food and said: "Ah Mui (sister) you are too skinny! Eat more!" Kate went along with it at first, but she later realized something wasn't right, she kept fighting Raymond back by putting more food on his bowl.

Raymond just finished shooting a Mainland drama, he has not had time for a break yet: "In the next month, I'll be holding a concert and haven't had time to rehearse yet because I was working on the new drama. Now I can focus completely on it. Because time is tight, I probably will have to go through hardcore training. Also, we played with water, fire and light in my last three concerts, this time I'll have something new for everyone, but can't tell what that is."

Kate just completed the Lunar New Year film I Love Hong Kong 2013. She'll have a short break before she starts shooting new series Sniper Attack 2013. She laughed and said this is her 7th time as a policewoman, "I don't know why [producers] like to give me this role, but that's fine. In order not to bore the audience, I will add in new elements into my role. (How are you spending New Years?) Nope! Actually, I'm used to working on holidays. I really enjoy it. I don't get to play on actual New Year's day, will just have to celebrate after with friends! At that time, there won't be that many people too! Haha!"

Raymond Lam & Kate Tsui Loaded with Jobs Despite Losing Awards

Raymond Lam and Kate Tsui were the hot favorites for TV King and Queen at the TVB Anniversary Awards 2012, but unfortunately lost to Wayne Lai and Tavia Yeung. Today on Christmas, each are busy with their own jobs. Kate just finished shooting the Lunar New Year film (I Love HK 2013) and will be busy from beginning to end of the coming year. A rare opportunity that she gets a day off, Kate tries to have the best of fun with her family and friends as they gather for a Christmas party. Tomorrow, she'll be going back to work in Beijing and will celebrate a White Christmas there while she's at it. Kate smiled and said its a memorable Christmas. Kate reveals her relatives trained since youth to become a "Big 2 Master", so she can

Although Kate lost the TV Queen award, she is still loaded with jobs and will have a prosperous year. When asked what Christmas gift she's getting herself as a reward? Kate said: "I've always wished to live with my family, in fact, what I want most is to buy a bigger house, so we can all live together. I am currently saving up for the down payment." Kate didn't get the TV Queen title, but compared to Tavia, she won the audience hearts, asked if she feels that's more important than the award? She said: "The speech I made on stage is from the bottom of my heart. I feel so warm knowing so many colleagues like me. I've gained a lot." Raymond and Kate's relationship is like 'aiya' siblings, does Kate feel its a pity that he didn't get the TV King award? She said: "Of course I feel disappointed, Ah Fung (Raymond) is a three-habitat artist, he handles all three areas of TV, film and music really well."

As for Raymond, he is shooting for a Mainland drama during the Christmas holidays, and will not be able to celebrate with his family. Raymond is also holding a concert in January, so aside from shooting series, he has to record songs and rehearse for the concert.

Raymond Lam, Kate Tsui & Kenneth Ma's Final Promotion Before TVB Awards

TVB Anniversary Awards 2012 will be held tomorrow night. Under an all-citizen voting system, among the TV King hot favorites Raymond Lam, Wayne Lai and Kenneth Ma, Raymond has the most fans and its probably a sure win for him, but he still actively goes for the last straw and promotes everywhere. He even openly said he's waiting for the award!

Today, Raymond, Kenneth and Kate Tsui attended the final referendum event before the TVB awards. At a glance, Raymond had a large group of fans, he openly said: "I've been nominated so many times in the past years. I've been on the top five since I was 20 something years old, and now I'm already over 30. I also hope to have something more practical. (Do you have confidence?) Yes! My colleagues and fans are very supportive too. I'm also very pleased with my production, it's a good timing!"

Raymond appeared with a blue sash around his shoulders, just like the pink one Kate Tsui had, that read: "Please vote for #8 Raymond Lam". On one hand he had a long bullhorn and on the other hand a poster asking for fans' support. He expressed he will not let go a single opportunity to get more votes, "I've been asking for votes whoever I see. Earlier I saw Eason Chan's mother, I said: 'Hello Auntie, I'm #8 Raymond Lam!' She said, 'What? I thought Raymond Lam was your real name?' She thought my name was '#8 Raymond Lam'!"

Kenneth expressed: "This is my final opportunity to pull in more votes for myself. (Netizens support you?) I heard too, I think they're saying 'HK Golden's Male God Attacks Raymond Lam'. TVB created this voting system just to make some noise, mission accomplished!" Although Raymond's fans were screaming loudly at the event, Kenneth said: "I'm feeling normal, the results are hard to predict. (TVB supports you, giving you chances to get more votes?) Many of our colleagues have work on hand, it's not special treatment."

Kate said: "I was working Macau last night and didn't get home until really late. This morning, I had to film really early, so didn't get much sleep, but once I hear fans screaming so loud, I'm all awake! (TVB giving you special treatment, give you the chance to promote?) It just so happens I'm free! The filming crew was willing to let me go, I'm still wearing my costume from the movie I'm filming now. Actually I want to ask, how come I'm the only girl here? I want more people around, better atmosphere! (Sure win for TV Queen?) No, there are a lot of factor. I haven't thought of my speech yet, whether if I win or lose, I still have to say something!"

TV Queen hot favorites, Kate and Tavia Yeung continue their battle. Kate expressed lately she's been asking for votes while she's filming on the set. She successfully got over 10 votes from the filming crew. It was understood Tavia's votes for the 'My Favorite TV Female Character' award has been abandoned, so if she loses the TV Queen award, then she'll leave empty handed, therefore she has to work very hard to get votes. She laughed and said she asked Virgina Lok and her family to vote for her. Also, she attended a Christmas event and made a cake on the spot. When asked if she'll give the cake to rumored boyfriend Him Law? She said: "He should give me one first. (What kind of Christmas gift you want from him?) What I'm afraid of most is I won't get a gift. The most important is I get a gift."

Kate Tsui Tries to get TVB Chairman Norman Leung's Vote

Yesterday TVB chairman Norman Leung hosted a celebration dinner for Highs and Lows. The cast including Kate Tsui, Ella Koon, Michael Miu and Elaine Ng attended. Michael Tse tried to brainwash Kate into voting for him instead, Kate said: "He didn't bribe me, actually he's brainwashing me! (He told his wife to vote for Tavia?) Well that's fair. I'm actively trying to get votes too. I got over 100 votes today! (Tell Tavia to vote for you?) I don't dare to." When asked if she'll try to convince Norman to vote for her too? She laughed: "I already did. I'll have to wait for his secretary to confirm first!" It was rumored Highs and Lows producer made a special director's cut of the gang rape scene to help her gain more votes. Kate joked: "The producer said he's saving that to watch himself. Just kidding!"

Kate Tsui 'Hard Sells' Herself for TV Queen; Against New TV Licenses

Yesterday TVB hosted their annual dinner at TVB City, a two day event, treating all of their employees for a "poon choi" feast. On the first night, 179 artists and 2,000 employees attended the dinner. Artists in attendance included Moses Chan, Wayne Lai, Myolie Wu, Kate Tsui, Eric Tsang, Christine Kuo, Sharon Chan, Roger Kwok, Nancy Wu, Mandy Wong, Aimee Chan and many more. TVB executives Virgina Lok, Catherine Tsang, Lee Bo On and Au Wai Lam made encouraging speeches to their employees.

It was understood that many TVB Siu Sang and FaDans support the government's issue of new free-to-air TV licenses, yesterday TVB's artist department sent out a "friendly reminder" SMS to all of their artists (details below). Deputy Director of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Tsang Sing Ming expressed: "We sent out this SMS internally to let our artists and employees better understand TVB's position in this [free-to-air TV license] issue. TVB is also very open, there is consensus internally and externally, the SMS was purely a friendly reminder to directly let colleagues know TVB's perspective."

After the SMS was sent out, last night Kate Tsui "knew what to do" when questions relating to the free-to-air licenses came up, she took the lead in the opposition. She expressed: "The Hong Kong market is not that big, too many TV networks can create vicious competition. (Fear TVB may get less income from commercials after the licenses are issued?) Of course we are worried, it directly affects our income. I hope the government can be more cautious. (Some artists expressed their support and it was said they're not supporting TVB?) Nope, we are all just expressing our opinions."

As this year's TV Queen hot favorite, Kate had a hilarious way to get more votes for herself. At the dinner, she had a sash around her shoulder that read: "Please vote for #8 Kate Tsui" and carried a hand full of tickets. She went to each corner and shouted into her bullhorn: "Please vote #8 Kate Tsui!" Kate laughed: "I don't mind acting 'low-B' (stupid), the most important is to get more votes. (Did you ask Norman Leung to vote for you?) I will ask him, I'm very brave. (You can't lose this?) No, I'm just afraid people won't remember what number I am! I told people overseas to vote for me too. It doesn't matter whether they know me or not, just give me your ID number. (You have very thick skin!) No, just playing! Just making friends."

Regarding Norman Leung 'declaring war' on Ricky Wong, Myolie expressed her support: "TVB is getting stronger and stronger. There will only be improvements when they is competition. There are many talents in TVB. (Afraid people will say you're not supporting your company?) No, things that must occur will eventually occur. We shouldn't be thinking this way, rather we should make our own team stronger. I support issuing new free-to-air licenses, but how many will be issued, we will have to wait for the government to think about that." As for Moses, he expressed Norman is amazing in his speech. Moses said: "I'm easy-going, the most important is to maintain peace. I hope the whole situation can move up to the next level, TVB's views are different from personal views, but healthy competition is a good thing. (Support free-to-air licenses?) I hope the government treats everyone equally, no matter how many licenses are issued, should still be fair." Mandy Wong was asked if she supports the issuing the licenses? She said healthy competition is good.

TVB's SMS to all of their artists included a list of five major points indicating their stance on the free-to-air licenses issue. The details are as follows:

To: All TVB artists,

In regards to applying for new free-to-air TV licenses, TVB's stance is as follows:

(1) TVB is not blindly against it.

(2) But, before the licenses are issued, the government is responsible to clarify three important points: How many licenses? Issued to whom? When will it be issued?

(3) How many licenses? Free-to-air TV networks depend on commercials to survive, but the HK television industry is highly regulated and narrow. If the government decides to issue unlimited free-to-air licenses, then they must remove the unnecessary regulations and allow TV networks to have the freedom to truly engage in competition. If the government continues the high regulations, then they must do research on the HK market and see if HK can support a few more free broadcasting TV networks, otherwise this will cause "not enough to go around" and eventually lead to vicious competition.

(4) Issue to whom? When the results are out, the government ought to:
a) Make a HK-wide announcement on the decision;
b) Invite all interested companies to cast; and
c) By a fair and public mechanism, a standard should be set. Licenses should only be issued to most qualified applicants.

(5) When will licenses be issued? Because TVB and ATV have agreed to increase the investment volume until 2015 in response to the government and regulatory authority' request, thus, all new free-to-air TV licenses should not be issued until after 2015.
