Kathy Chow Hopes to Participate in Stage Play to Boost Acting to a Higher Level

After Kathy Chow finished shooting TVB new series Sniper Standoff, she immediately took time off to watch Michelle Yim and Louisa So's musical I Have a Date with Spring (我和春天有個約會) with veteran film actress Ivy Ling and her husband Kam Hon. They praised the Sunbeam Theatre is a really good stage for performances because performers can have close interactions with the audience. It's very interactive experience.

Kathy has never participated in a stage play before because she never had the time on her schedule to make it happen. She really enjoyed the play last night and felt its a huge challenge for artists to communicate with the audience at such a close distance. "Although we get paid more from filming TV series, stage plays can bring our acting up to higher level. If I encounter a good crew, I am willing to accept this challenge."

Denise Ho wants to become a mother

After admitting her homosexuality in front of a crowd in November last year, Cantopop singer, Denise Ho, recently revealed her dreams of becoming a mother in the next five years.

Popular Asians website reported that in an interview that was held of late, the singer admitted, "I really like children. When I was young and living in Canada, there were many Canadian couples who adopted Asian children. It's something I've always wanted to do, whether to give birth myself or to adopt."

She added, "I hope I can educate my children and allow them to have individual aspirations. As to when [I would have children], well, perhaps within five years? Or else I'll become a woman of advanced maternal age."

Earlier, it was reported that Denise had expressed her desire for Greeny Wu and Shawn Yue to donate their sperm to fulfil her motherhood dreams. When asked about it, the singer laughed and said, "I don't know. You have to understand that it's just entertainment news. I just gave an answer so the reporters can complete his job!"

However, after accidentally revealing that her girlfriend is also from the entertainment industry, the 35-year-old singer was reluctant to share more about the subject, stating, "I think I've already shared my intimate news to everyone. I still wish to retain a bottom line in my private life. I feel there is no need to reveal my private life for everyone to see."

Him Law returns for "Tiger Cubs 2"

"Young and Dangerous: Reloaded" actor, Him Law, is the latest addition to the list of original "Tiger Cubs" stars returning for the sequel, and will be reprising his role as Acting Sergeant Yu Hok Lai.

Jayne Stars website reported that on 28 March, Him confirmed his comeback at a function event, exclaiming his excitement at returning to the drama and bulking up for the role yet again.

Earlier, Oscar Leung complained that his shirtless shower scene from the first Tiger Cubs instalment was deleted and hoped to do another one for the second series. Asked if Him would also like to be featured in such scenes, the actor laughed and said, "I remember I had something like that with Vincent Wong in the first series! But for this series, I want it to be a little sweatier and not involve showering. It's too clean!"

More original stars that have agreed to return include Joe Ma, Oscar Leung, Mandy Wong, and William Chak. Jessica Hsuan will not be reprising her role as the lead actress and new cast Linda Chung has been added as a replacement.

"Tiger Cubs", was a blockbuster hit for TVB last summer, forming strong fan-base communities online. The drama was slated for a sequel even before its broadcast ended in August 2012.

The sequel is scheduled for filming in June 2013.

Gigi Ho Spotted Publicly with Edwin Siu, Dodges Him Instantly

Edwin Siu finally gains recognition after working at TVB for several years. He has been in a relationship with former RTHK host, Gigi Ho, for two years and despite often spotted together, the two were never willing to admit the relationship. Even if they were seen 'sticking together' at Stefan Huynh's wedding earlier, they still insisted that they're "just friends". However, their relationship is an open secret in the industry. It was reported Gigi's horse owner father overly protects his daughter and hopes she marries a good man. Since Gigi's father hasn't really interacted with Edwin before, it appears he isn't too satisfied with him. Recently Edwin's career has been on the rise and a month ago, he purchased a HK$4 million home, but that still wasn't enough to please his 'future father-in-law' and he'll have to work harder.

Yesterday reporters spotted Edwin with Gigi and her younger sister Lily Ho, Johnson Lee and Matthew Ko at the Sha Tin Racecourse to support the horse owners. At first, Edwin and Gigi interacted closely, often taking out their phones to take pictures, but once they got to the lobby and discovered reporters around, Gigi immediately kept her distance. She left her 'boyfriend' with her sister and the others. Edwin later withdrew from the group, went around in a huge circle before joining the group again. They were unwilling to take pictures together to publicly acknowledge their relationship.

Later Edwin and Gigi accepted separate phone interviews. Asked why was there avoidance? Edwin said: 'Probably because we had some news earlier, so she (Gigi) wanted to keep some distance. (Haven't seen Gigi's father?) I'm not sure, you will have to ask them. Maybe he's been busy. (Supporting Gigi's father at the Racecourse?) Nope, my friend has a horse racing, so we met up to go support him. I rarely go into the Racecourse, the two sisters goes more often. (The rumors hasn't affected your relationship with Gigi?) There wasn't even one! Forget it!" Edwin didn't forget to add "Uncle" (Gigi's father) is a nice person and he has told him a lot about horses; he learned a lot from her father.

Gigi disclosed, her father was there too, but they were each with their own group of friends, so didn't see one another. "We weren't at the same place at the Racecourse, so didn't meet each other. (Daddy dislikes you dating Edwin?) No, don't say that. He had always given freedom to my sister and I. Don't ask personal questions. (Do you want to marry a rich man?) He's not that person. I've been involved in the horse industry since I was 19, so my knowledge on horse isn't from now!"

Jolin Tsai rejects Vivian Dawson’s marriage proposal twice

Rumour has it that Taiwanese singer Jolin Tsai has rejected two marriage proposals from her boyfriend, Vivian Dawson.

The couple has been dating for over two years and their relationship has always been put in the spotlight.

Recent reports claimed that Vivian had proposed to Jolin twice –once during their London vacation last year and again during their New Zealand trip early this year – but was rejected on both occasions.

It was also said that Jolin rejected Vivian’s proposal because he only asked her verbally, without actually staging an engagement.

She added that Jolin is satisfied with how things are now and she does not necessarily have to get married. Jolin’s friends also advised her not to rush into a marriage so soon.

While attending an event yesterday, Vivian dismissed rumours of his marriage proposal to Jolin, as he does not intend to get married yet.

However, the 26-year-old model admitted that his parents have met Jolin and they like her personality.

Jolin’s manager also said that the 32-year-old singer has no plans to settle down yet as she is enjoying her current way of life.

Cilla Kung Travels Europe, Almost Got Pick Pocketed

Yesterday Cilla Kung appeared in a pink spring dress at an Easter event at the mall. She played games with the children and performed her new song Careful Love, but when she was just about to finish the singing the song, the sound system suddenly malfunctioned and left Cilla smiling embarrassingly. In the past few years, Cilla has been concentrated more on acting in TV series, she expressed she'll be charging back into the music scene soon. "I'll be releasing a new album this year. In my new series, Slow Boat Home airing in May, I play a singer and I'm currently trying to ask the producer if he could play my songs in the series. (Try to get the opportunity to sing the theme song?) I have to get in line first. This time, TVB asked Kay Tse to sing the theme song."

Cilla had been on break for 2 months, she expressed she spent her time traveling Europe. She laughed: "I'm usually a stingy girl, but this time I bought a lot of designer bags for my mom and myself." She disclosed her thrilling experience on the subway in France, she said: "Somebody stuck their hand in my pocket, trying to pick pocket me. Luckily, I had fast reaction and stopped him."

Christine Kuo's career enlightenment

Since signing a contract with TVB four years ago, Taiwan-born and Hong Kong-based actress Christine Kuo gradually became one of the most famous stars in Hong Kong drama series and the former Miss Chinese Toronto Pageant revealed that it took her a long time to realize the true meaning of being an actress, according to Jayne Stars.

"To be an artist is to entertain the audience, but I failed to understand this concept no matter how many times others tried to explain it to me. I was just not enlightened, and to be enlightened, it takes time. Although I am still not completely sure at what I'm doing now, at least I am working towards a positive change," said Christine.

Christine mentioned that her family was the one who encouraged her to start her acting career in Hong Kong.

She said, "My parents wanted me to learn how to live an independent lifestyle, so they suggested me to come to Hong Kong. I've only lived here for less than four years, but it felt like I've been living here for as long as ten years. As an actress, we tend to substitute our thoughts with our characters and roles, so our lives definitely feel more bountiful."

The 29-year-old beauty has been called the "Goddess" by both actors and male fans since she made her debut in television series in 2010.

"Thank you, everyone, for taking good care of me. To be well-liked by others is not inevitable, so I will not let fame get to my head. I will cherish it. I am quite happy with this honour, but I do want a breakthrough. I want everyone to see a different side of me, but I know this takes time, so I will not rush it. When it comes to goddesses, I believe Brigittte Lin, Rosamund Kwan, and Vivian Chow to be the true goddesses."
