Fala Chen won't be an "One Album Singer"

Yesterday Fala Chen was promoting for her debut album Beautiful Life at the HMV CD store. Since the launch of her album last week, it has already climbed up to first place on HMV's 'Asian Album Top Sales Chart'. Fala happily said: "There were several thousand copies in the first batch, never thought the album sales would do this well. At some CD stores, it was sold out. After all, there is some pressure for artist-turned-singers."

Fala is currently under Rising Star Music, whose parent company is Stars Shine. Earlier Stars Shine's boss Herman Ho admitted Fala's contract is expiring soon and expressed they only wanted to help Fala fulfill her dream of releasing her own album. After her contract expires, she'll get back to acting and won't be singing anymore. Herman also expressed for the next half year, Stars Shine, will focus on promoting their favorites Linda Chung and Joyce Cheng. So, does that mean Fala is left out? Herman explained: "Fala is shooting a series, and can't make time to do promotions, but Linda Chung has time. (Jinny Ng is going to take over and be the Big Sister?) What is Big Sister?"

Yesterday, Fala denied that she's an 'One Album Singer', she said: "I am currently busy shooting Triumph in the Skies II, but I can still handle both singing and acting." Fala denied that she's in disagreement with Herman Ho because TVB is still her management, so she won't be contracted with a single record company for long, but instead TVB contracts her out to the record companies. She said: "I still have one or two months left in the contract. As for my record company for next year, TVB will handle it. I'm definitely going to continue singing."

When speaking of Triumph in the Skies II, her co-stars Myolie Wu and Kenneth Ma recently had dating rumors, but Fala expressed they haven't joined the crew yet, so she's not sure.
