Netizens Criticize Chilam Cheung For Not Understanding the Distress of Others

A few days ago, Chilam Cheung angrily exploded on Weibo scolding the PA for messing up the filming schedules of Triumph in the Skies II. He even denounced that their behaviors directly relates to the downfall of HK television. Netizens refuted Chilam's accusations, they believed the workload of PAs are beyond an average person. Also, newcomers are bound to make some mistakes, Chilam shouldn't be making such a big deal out of little things. Another group of Netizens denounced Chilam back, that usually he only knows how to eat, drink and play, and does not know how distressed other people are. Netizens accused him of 'big bullying small', one Netizen expressed: "Just because your a celebrity, does not mean your the boss. There is a hierarchy of work, they aren't just responsible to serve you!" They also believed the producer and the scriptwriter holds some responsibility as well, and suggested that the PAs go on strike.

Last night, Chilam was shooting a raining scene with Fala Chen in Central and again, one of the PAs forgot whether Fala should have a handbag on her for the scene, which got Chilam angered once more. Producer Chan Wai Koon explained last night at 7pm, Chilam had to shoot an outdoor scene, the new PA gave him a 5pm schedule. That PA had only been working with them for 6 months and another experienced PA is leading him.

Lawrence Ng attended a charity event yesterday and revealed he's returning to TVB next year for The Hippocratic Crush II, he frankly expressed he encountered the same situation before. He said: "I've encountered new directors or new employees who were inexperienced and made the work more difficult for everyone. There is little time for rest when shooting TVB series, so it's natural that people will get cranky. The better the actors, the more irritable they are. In the past, I really did started scolding people due to all the stress from work, but later when I calmed down, I treated them all a meal and apologized to them."

Raymond Lam was on a radio interview, and when speaking of Chilam scolding the PA? Raymond agreed there has been many new employees with little experience, but often times, things are not perfect. He said: "Usually I would call the crew and ask them if there are any changes in the schedule, they should notify me immediately. I hope the PAs could be responsible for their own work." In regards to a scene in new series Highs and Lows, where he rescues Ella Koon, it was suspected he touched her chest while doing so? Raymond denied, "Basically I don't remember that scene existing at all. Re-watching the clip, there was no body contact at all, my hand was in the air.I really thank everyone for watching my series though! In every series and every role, there will bound to be some mistake. When we are filming, we usually discover a lot of mistakes, but sometimes we really can't control it."

Myolie Wu is currently shooting with Chilam on TITS2, she also knows about the scheduling issues with the PA and it is an individual matter. From what she knows, it did not just happened 1 or 2 times to Chilam, perhaps the PA is just too new. She will tell Chilam not to be too upset, newcomers should be given the opportunity to learn. Myolie said: "The PA has improved and is much more behaved now."

Also part of the cast of TITS2, Ron Ng expressed: "Chilam's EQ is very high. Perhaps it didn't just happened once, but PAs have a large range of work, we must understand that. I will call the PA to coordinate with them."

Kenneth Ma is unsure of the incident, but he believes all PAs cannot be blamed for it. He knows about the slight confusion in the schedules, many PAs are making the mistake, and the new PAs hasn't gotten accustomed yet, so that's why there is some confusion.

Wayne Lai expressed: "Don't be so upset. Perhaps the PA was too busy and made the mistake. If arrive early to the set, then have a meal first."
