Gordon Liu's children asks to see their father, Nursing Home Calls Police on them

Famous martial arts actor Gordon Liu was hospitalized last year after suffering from a stroke. It was rumored while Gordon was seriously ill, Mrs. Lau took advantage of him trying to get his assets. Earlier [Oriental Daily] reporters contacted Mrs. Lau and her son (Kris Sin) about the rumor, but instead the two exposed someone is intentionally preventing them from visiting Gordon at the nursing home.

Earlier Kris and his sister (Sin Wing Shan) tried to visit their father at the nursing home, but were denied access. Yesterday at 5pm, the two made another attempt and were greeted by [Oriental Daily] reporters, at the time, were already waiting outside of the nursing home. Kris and Shan said to the staff that they wanted to visit their father, but the staff told the person in charge (Nursing Home Director) to come and stop them from entering. The reason was because the two were accompanied by reporters and the reporters were charging into private property to take pictures. Then the nursing home staff called the police for assistance. When the police got to the scene, Kris and the reporters were asked to leave their contact information and leave the nursing home at once. Kris and his sister will discuss in private on how they could visit their father.

The Nursing Home Director reveals Gordon is emotionally unstable and he has a chance of getting another stroke, therefore there must be careful consideration on who his visitors can be. It was said, it is unfair that his children can't visit him. The Director said: "I can only say the patient has said before he didn't want to see anyone. He didn't even want to see his guarantor."

3 Attempts to Visit Father

Kris and Shan accepted an interview later and revealed its their third request to see their father, "The first time was in August, we saw in the newspaper that Eric Tsang visited Dad. Since Eric can see him, then why can't his children? The second time was when we called the nurse, she said Dad didn't want to see anyone. We just left our contact information with the nurse and we also wrote a card to him in hope Dad could take the initiative to contact us, but no response. The head of the nursing home said they didn't know we were Gordon Liu's children, but in fact, we just weren't in HK. The guarantor and nursing home actually don't know anything." Kris continued complaining that someone is intentionally doing this: "I called Eva (Gordon's manager), every time she hangs up on us. We just hope someone can help us."

Kris stressed before Gordon was transferred to the nursing home, visiting him was not an issue. "My sister and I visited our father before, we chatted and ate together happily. I promised Dad I would visit him again and he said that's no problem." He also said it was a large effort to find out the address of the nursing home, and stressed it was just a coincidence that reporters were around on the day they went to visit their father. When asked what they are planning to do next? Kris said: "We may have to check with the nursing home to see if Dad can speak to us on the phone. Perhaps after his stroke, he isn't thinking clearly or maybe someone is doing something behind our backs." Kris and his sister expressed they won't be seeking assistance from other artists or the police. They will wait for the nursing home's arrangements before making their next decision.

Gordon's manager, Eva, accepted an interview over the phone and declined to comment. She just said: "I reserve the right to take legal action. (Guarantor is preventing Gordon from seeing his children?) The guarantor isn't preventing them, Gordon can decide to see whoever he wants."
