Fiona Sit's new MV unauthorized release, Warner to sue Netizen

The latest MV to Fiona Sit's new song 9:55PM was to release on Tencent Weibo (QQ) today, but unexpectedly the day before when Warner Music handed over the completed MV, it was discovered that the MV was already illegally posted on social networking sites last night. In an unauthorized manner, many social networking sites publicized the MV, forcing the record label to change its schedule and release the MV a day early. When Fiona learned of the incident, she was very angry. She frankly said she's hurt and urged everyone on Weibo to respect copyright.

Warner Music issued a statement: "In view of Warner's discovery of artist Fiona Sit's latest MV 9:55PM's unauthorized upload on the internet by the Netizen, Warner is extremely angered by this incident! This is not the first time that Netizen illegally used our latest MV. Also, there has been theft on MVs by other record labels. The situation is extremely serious. Warner is putting out this statement, we will be jointly suing that Netizen with other record labels in order to defend the valuable intellectual property rights!" Warner spokesperson, Carman expressed in the past Khalil Fong and Pakho Chau's MV had a similar case. After consultation with the legal department, Warner have decided to take appropriate legal action.
