Faye Wong's Poetic Play on Words

Sina Weibo has temporarily disabled its commenting function starting yesterday morning at 8am until April 3 at 8am. This was caused by the spreading of illegal and harmful rumours through the microblogging site. In order to clean up the site, the commenting function had to be temporarily suspended. With Faye Wong being known as the 'Queen of Weibo', she wrote a few lines of poetry to make light of the situation.

Yesterday morning at around 8am, Faye realized her new post did not generate any comments and became a little confused. She soon found out the reason and posted an official notice from Sina explaining the temporary suspension of the service. "Oh oh! The rumours will stop when the comments are banned, hehe, well said!" Arriving yesterday in Kunming to prepare for her concert, Faye continued to play on Weibo. Even under the new circumstances, she continued on happily and kept reposting. She had a total of 8 posts yesterday. Faye specially came up with a poem to touch upon the incident, which showed her sense of humour as well as her sensitivity to the current events.

A drizzling rain falls like tears on the Mourning Day
Their hearts are breaking from the ban on comments
Where are the rumours to be found?
Sina points to Zhongguancun

Zhongguancun refers to the technological hub in Beijing, which is also known as China's Silicon Valley. Faye seemed proud of her words and even praised herself by saying she was very talented. Faye's poem resonated with many netizens and her post was reposted 22,000 times.
