Shirley Yeung: Never had thoughts of Suicide

Former Miss HK Shirley Yeung secretly had her daughter (Kristy Yeung) in the U.S earlier this February. She dumped her ex-lover Andy Ng and flies as a single mother, but when she returned to HK, she suffered from great pressure. Back in HK, Shirley said she will remain strong to face her future and raise her daughter alone. Yesterday when Spencer Leung attended an event, he suddenly mentioned on stage that a former Miss Asia contestant by the surname of Chan, met a cheater and committed suicide. He urges everyone to be more supportive of Shirley. When asked if he implies Shirley might commit suicide too? He said: "No! (You said Andy Ng is the baby's father?) I didn't! I didn't comment on neither Andy Ng or Gregory Lee."

Yesterday Shirley admitted she does have personal talks with Spencer on Weibo, but she never mentioned anything about suicide: "Thank Spencer for his concern. I understand he said that because he wants the media to stop putting too much pressure on me. (Do you have thoughts of suicide?) Of course not, I am living life well."

In the past two days, Shirley has been taking part in public events. Yesterday she attended a Mother's Day event in Tai Po Mega Mall. Regarding [Oriental Daily] spotting her shopping alone with a very concerned look on her face? She laughed and said she was rushing to the hair studio: "I am very happy now, and there is never enough time in a day. Even if I'm a single mother, my daughter will still be just as blessed!" At the event, Shirley helped babies change diapers, but carelessly got the diapers backwards. Shirley reveals she is currently 108 pounds and her goal is to lose another 8-10 pounds. She hopes there will be a slimming company that can help her.

Shirley expressed its a special feeling spending her first Mother's Day as a mother. When asked how she celebrated the day? She said: "Just at home. I cooked. Everyone hugging my baby is already happy enough! (Who does the baby look like?) She is developing, can't tell yet. (Who do you want her to look like?) Doesn't matter, most important is for her to be healthy."
