First, he was accused of having a scuffle with a member of the paparazzi, then renowned Taiwanese deejay Chen Hui Wen insinuated that the singer had pinched his female assistant's butt.
After he held a press conference to clarify the accusations, he was blasted for disrespecting plus-sized women.
At the press conference, Jay had said: "Let me introduce to you, my assistant Da Ni. Do you think it is possible that I pinched Da Ni's butt?"
His statement got Taiwanese gender experts and scholars up in arms, accusing him of "discrimination against fat women". They blasted the singer for "disrespecting women with plump figure", as well as having "appearance discrimination and intentionally harming the balance between genders".
In response to the report, Jay's recording company JVR Music released a statement yesterday to clarify that Jay has known his assistant for over six years and he does not discriminate any members of the opposite sex. The company had also apologized for any misunderstanding resulting from the statements made during the press conference.
