Stefanie Sun shares pregnant photo

Singer Stefanie Sun, who recently shared the good news of her being pregnant, posted a photo on her microblog yesterday, asking if the netizens "can see it [her baby bump]?"

When she first announced her pregnancy on May 7, Lin Ming Rong, an artiste manager from Sony Music, uploaded a photo of Stefanie which looked as though she is heavily pregnant.

Just as there were speculations that the songstress is carrying twins, Stefanie responded on her microblog that the photo is a fake, which was "taken five years ago in Egypt during a break, and the effect was achieved by stuffing things into my clothes".

Yesterday, the 33-year-old shared a photo on her microblog, teasing the netizens with a message asking them if they could spot her baby bump. The photo set the online community abuzz because it is the first photo Stefanie posted after her pregnancy announcement, and congratulations for the mother-to-be came in quickly.

Taiwanese famous host Mickey Huang sent his well wishes to the singer, while Stefanie's good friend Na Ying suggested the singer to share another photo after her first trimester, so that the netizens can share her joy.

However, some netizens were worried as Stefanie looked too thin in the photo she shared and left comments for her to "take good care and give birth to a healthy baby". There were also fans, who shared pregnancy tips with the singer in their comments on her post.

Is Stefanie Sun expecting her first child?

It's been nearly a year after local songbird Stefanie Sun tied the knot with Dutch-Indonesian husband, Nadim Van Der Ros, and the songstress is rumoured to have successfully conceived a Dragon baby.

After getting married to Nadim in May last year, the 33-year-old songstress cut down on her activities in the entertainment scene as she was reportedly trying for a child. Stefanie is said to be tightlipped about her pregnancy due to the superstitious belief that it is inauspicious to speak about it before the first trimester.

When contacted for clarifications, Stefanie's manager commented that the singer "did not inform me about anything," and did not deny or admit to news of her pregnancy. The manager added that Stefanie, who is preparing for a new album now, decided to cut down on her workload this year as the singer has "things that she wants to do".

It is speculated that Stefanie plans to follow in Karen Mok's example by announcing her pregnancy at the upcoming Taiwanese Golden Melody Awards on June 23.
In other related news, Stefanie's 34-year-old husband promised earlier this month that if 100 people cycle to work, he will wear his wife's red dress to cycle on East Coast and upload the video online.

Up till last Sunday, a total of 107 people responded to this event and as promised, Nadim went cycling in a red dress while Stefanie watched in amusement.
She joked, "We should have set it to 500 people!" while filming the video.

Stefanie Sun slips and falls at concert

At an outdoor festival which promotes environmental protection in Hong Kong last Saturday, local singer Stefanie Sun slipped and fell during her performance on stage.

Dressed in a white dress and a pair of matching six-inch heels, the singer fell during the performance of the song 'Wo Bu Nan Guo', due to the slippery stage caused by the rain.

Two staff members quickly rushed to her aid and after she regained composure, Stefanie said awkwardly, "I haven't been to Hong Kong for a while now, so I wanted to meet everybody in heels. Can I sit down now?"

The crowd cheered and applauded loudly in response, shouting, "Sure."

Stefanie added to the media, "Please don't publish my ugly photos."

After her performance, the singer was seen in the same pair of high heels at the media interview. The singer laughed and let on that the first worry she had when she fell was that she'd expose herself, and that she would not look pretty.

Later, she mentioned that luckily she is not pregnant and even made a "touch wood" gesture.

"I think I'm not [pregnant]. Let nature take its course," Stefanie said.

However, she expressed that one of her goals is to get pregnant and added that she will still pursue her showbiz career after having kids.
