Raymond Lam Pockets 10 Millions Shooting Mainland Series

Yesterday Raymond Lam returned to HK for the promotional event of TVB new series Highs and Lows. He reveals his old on-screen partner, Michelle Ye's company invited him to shoot a Mainland series in Hengdian. When asked if he's paid a great deal for shooting this series? He laughed and expressed he's getting 8 figures. When asked if its more than 200,000 RMB per episode? He said: "Don't talk about it anymore, I'm afraid the tax bureau is going to come after me! (Your taxes is enough to buy a home?) Depends how big you want it! (You became the gold digger king?) I have three digits, have to work hard and save up for future marriage." When asked if he's afraid there migh be rumors between him and Michelle? He said Michelle had always been a brother to him, so he's not afraid. At the event, Raymond played games with his co-stars Ella Koon and Kate Tsui. When speaking of the misunderstanding that he touched Ella's chest in one of the rescue scenes? He laughed: "How can [that area] be so easily touched?"

Every year as the TVB Anniversary Awards approaches, it becomes a hot topic in the entire city. Although the official nomination lists hasn't been announced yet, the majority of the series are already out. It was understood there are already candidates for the TV King and Queen awards, including Highs and Lows Raymond Lam and Kate Tsui, Ghetto Justice II Kevin Cheng and Myolie Wu, Witness Insecurity Bosco Wong and Linda Chung, The Hippocratic Crush Kenneth Ma and Tavia Yeung and The Confidant Wayne Lai and Michelle Yim.

Kate Tsui's reached a higher level from her role in Highs and Lows. She plays a mole who gets raped and puts her greatest effort into her whole performance, making her strong attraction; Myolie Wu was a big hit in last year's Ghetto Justice, but this year she didn't give off any refreshing feelings; Linda and Tavia continue to grab attention from their crying scenes.

Yesterday at the promotion, Kate laughed and said her confidence increases as her role is so well-received. "My hairstylist told me there are clients that want to get the hairstyle I have from the series! (Back then, Liza Wang had that experience too!) Let's not bring up the past and compare, I have invisible pressure too!"

Also, there is strong competition for the Best Supporting Actor and Actress awards, so far the hot favorites are Koo Ming Wa, Ben Wong, Pierre Ngo and KK Cheung and for the females, Nancy Wu, Aimee Chan, Mandy Wong and Elena Kong.
