Pinky Cheung Prays All Night, In Search Missing Church Friends Out At Sea

Last night, a serious collision occurred involving a pleasure boat and a ferry near Lamma Island. The tragedy marked the most grieving day to the people in Hong Kong. Artistes in the entertainment industry have all been sending their condolence on Weibo. Former ATV artist, Pinky Cheung, is currently in Taiwan and was alarmed to hear that a friend from her church, a family of four, were missing out at sea. Pinky and her Christian friends from the industry immediately prayed for them. This morning, Pinky was notified that the family was found and rescued, it was then she felt some relief. After the Lamma Island ferry collision, artists who are Christians including Pinky, Wong Cho Lam and Ada Choi were praying on Weibo together. They hoped those who died RIP and more survivors will be rescued.

Pinky is currently in Kaohsiung (Taiwan) to celebrate her birthday. Yesterday she accepted a phone interview and said she had been praying the entire night for the missing people, "A friend told me that the friend from church left a message on Facebook letting us know they are safe, really thank God!" Pinky can cry easily, if she was in HK and found out about the accident, she would definitely feel a lot more sorrow, "The people who died are gone, I will pray for them to RIP. Those who are still living in this world, forget the pain as soon as possible, stay strong! We all still need to live on."

Wong Cho Lam said: "I didn't know that family. I learned from the church that there were several Christian families on that ferry. There was one family of four that lost their child. (Will you call to comfort them?) I haven't directly contacted them, but I will pray for them. Once there's news, I will let our brothers know on Weibo."
