Kevin's role 'Bat Yeh' in Startling Step by Step has been a major hit in Mainland, and plus his Ghetto Justice in HK has won him the TV King title. In order to keep this 'biological son', TVB allowed him to go up north to earn extra income in the first half year. Earlier this year he participated in two Mainland dramas including Hero 英雄 and Red Dust 滾滾紅塵. The other night after the awards show, Kevin will start on new series Love and Passion 萬水千山風雨情. It was understood that Kevin was again offered 250,000 RMB per episode to shoot this series. Since the series is a total of 26 episodes, he will be pocking 6.5 million RMB (~HK$8 million). For the first half of the year, Kevin's 3 Mainland dramas and his public event jobs, it is estimated he has already pocketed over HK$30 million.
For the next half of the year, Kevin has intentions to release a new music album in HK and hold a concert. TVB has also scheduled his latest series Gloves Come Off to premiere in HK on April 16th, to help him promote in HK.
The other night, Kevin and Myolie attended The 2nd LETV Entertainment Awards 2012 at the Beijing national conference center. At the event, Kevin was asked his rumors with Annie Liu and Mainland actress Ying Er, he expressed the majority of his rumors are fake. He isn't even able to keep up with all these rumored actresses. What Kevin lacks the most right now is time, so it's basically impossible for him to be in a relationship: "Time is required to love a person and develop a relationship. Must attempt to build a relationship in order for it to be stable, but I currently have no time nor do have I found a matching partner."
Famous and wealthy Mainland actor Jia Nai Liang and Li Xiao Lu won 'Mainland's Best TV Actor and Actress' respectively. The two have been dating for over two years after they collaborated in When Mother-In-Law Meets Mother. That night, Jia suddenly knelt down and proposed to his girlfriend with a 5 karat diamond ring. The scene made Myolie Wu extremely envious, she expressed she doesn't have this type of happiness yet. When asked when boyfriend Bosco Wong proposes to her, will she immediately agree? Myolie said: "I don't know because no one has proposed to me yet, it's hard to say." Kevin teased her: "How can you be unwilling to marry?"
Earlier Myolie and Bosco collaborated in Mainland drama Racecourse, which will soon be broadcasting on CCTV. The two play revoluntionary lovers and get to date on 'imperial orders'. However, Bosco expressed he was focused entirely on filming and didn't get distracted.
