Hong Kong singer-actor Dicky Cheung has been sued by his
younger brother Henry Cheung, who was also his ex-manager, for withholding his
salary and commission fees amounting to HK$20 million (approximately S$3.18
million) after the latter was diagnosed with depression in 2006.
Henry claimed that his brother “cheated” him of 18 years’ worth
of managerial fees by transferring all his assets to a different account. Dicky
was also accused of stopping Henry from meeting their mum since then.
The Journey to the West
star responded to the reports during an interview and calmly said, “My
conscience is clear.”Dicky rose to fame after starring in popular drama series such as The Duke of Mount Deer and Young Hero Fang Shiyu. He spends most of his time filming in China in recent years, occasionally returning to Hong Kong for the Big Four concerts with Andy Hui, William Su and Edmond Leung.
