Raymond Lam Temporarily Says Goodbye to the Stage

Raymond Lam is holding his concert A TIME 4 YOU on January 26th and 27th. This will be his fourth consecutive year in HK Coliseum. Yesterday the press conference for the concert was held with TVB and EEG executives there to support him.

Raymond's concert theme is time, although Raymond wanted to leave the audience with surprises, he revealed after he completes this concert, he will be taking a 1-2 year break from the stage. "Actually I already said I was going to take a break for two years already. also next year, I have several films I have to shoot and really can't make the time on my schedule." When asked if he's already got Virgina Lok's approval? Raymond laughed: "I just told Miss Lok backstage, she just laughed out loud 'haha' in response."

Aside from the schedule conflicts, Raymond added: "I will continue to be in the music scene and release albums, but I hope I'll be give more time to save up songs. Also, I want to take this opportunity to breathe and absorb some new knowledge."

Raymond hopes after he takes his break and if he does get more opportunities to hold concerts in the future, he will definitely bring new elements to his music fans. When speaking of Wayne Lai being one of the hot favorites for TV King this year, it was rumored TVB plans to give both the "Asia-Pacific Most Popular Male Singer" and "Most Popular Male Singer" awards to Raymond as a way to comfort him on losing the TV King award. Raymond said he has not heard of this rumor, but he has heard the singer awards will be based on public vote.

Earlier Eliza Sam collaborated with Raymond on his mini film Love Charming One Minute was shown at the press conference. The director and Eliza personally attended the event to support him. Raymond said Eliza plays a female ghost in the mini film, but because she's not considered the terrifying type, her cheerful personality really fits the role. As for Eliza, she expressed she is fortunate to have the opportunity to work with Raymond.

Ben Wong Angered at TVB: Where is the Justice?!

TVB announced the official nomination list for TVB Anniversary Awards 2012 today. Aimee Chan was nominated for both best actress and supporting actress, but Ben Wong, who seems to have a high chance of winning Best Supporting Actor again this year, was not on the nominations at all!

Ben Wong played the "Devil Cop" in Highs and Lows and his evilness was inhumane. On the discussion forums, Netizens predicted that this year's Best Supporting Actor would be a competition between Koo Ming Wa, Power Chan and Ben. However, it turns out Elliot Ngok, Ram Chiang and Jazz Lam were part of the nominations, but Ben wasn't. This means Ben has no opportunity to participate in this year's first public voting system.

Yesterday reporters contacted Ben in regards to this issue. He went from being shocked to upset, he said: "I'm really astonished, of course I'm disappointed! I don't know what the norm is, but this year the public voting is about fairness and public opinion, but now I'm not even nominated. Where's the justice?! If Poon Hok Lai (his role from Highs and Lows) don't qualify for the finals, then where is the justice?" Ben asked reporters if its because he's been promoted to lead actor that he's getting 'blocked'? He blamed: "If I'm not nominated for Best Supporting, then am I a lead actor? A producer once told me, I got the award last year, so I shouldn't compete this year! I just think if someone could get TV King twice, then how come the Supporting Actor can't?" Ben got more and more angered as he spoke: "Now my chances are gone just like that, I don't even have the opportunity to be in the competition. They didn't even give me a chance. If my Poon Hok Lai role can't make it on the top 10, then I really don't believe there is justice?"

Kate Tsui was just as shocked when she heard Ben didn't make it on the nominations, she said: "Huh?" Then added: "Whatever it is, we will fight for the Best Series award together! (Comfort Ben?) He's an adult, not necessary, he's a senior of mines! He understands!" Highs and Lows producer Lam Chi Wah expressed his disappointment that Ben wasn't nominated. He said: "I'm so shocked and disappointed. TVB's mechanism, I'm not too sure of, but actually we can't tell if Ben's role was one of the supporting roles or a leading role. I think he was in a leading role. We have all seen his hard work. The award is important, but the most important is what opportunities TVB will give him from here on!"

It is currently uncertain whether the idol will be on stage or not for the event.

We wish Junho a speedy recovery.

Linda Chung Chooses a "Boyfriend" on the Spot at Autograph Session

Yesterday Linda Chung appeared in a short skirt at the shopping mall for her new album Love Love Love's autograph session. There were about 200 fans at the scene. It was rumored Linda is heavily favored by her record company Star Shine's boss Herman Ho. Yesterday Herman supported her at the event too and generously took pictures together. On stage, Linda thanked her boss for giving her the opportunity to release this album. She is grateful that he understands her vocals.

This is Linda's 4th album and she frankly said this is her favorite one because the songs relate closest to life. She hopes fans will understand her inner thoughts after listening to her new songs. At the event, Linda played games with the fans. Three male fans took turns using their own tactics to confess their love for Linda, and Linda had to choose who she liked the most. She said: "I like the guy who was shy, but still had some courage. The other two were very sweet too." Then Linda fed a female fan, but accidentally got some sauce on her shirt, she quickly helped the fan wipe it off with a tissue. Fans gave Linda DIY cards and wristbands. She said she was very touched, but she didn't want fans to see her tear up, so she tried hard to hold them in.

When asked if rumored boyfriend Philip Ng supported her new album? She said he did and so did her colleagues, fans and her parents in Canada.

Joey Yung Speaks Up: "Denise Ho Is My Friend Forever"

Since Denise Ho (Hocc) announced her sexual orientation has triggered the public's speculation on whether close friend Joey Yung is bisexual. It was rumored because of Hocc's response to the media's question on whether Joey's bisexual, led to Joey's emotional break down and their many year friendship no longer exist. Yesterday Joey finally appeared in public. She clarified all of the rumors and stressed, "She is forever my good friend." Not only was Joey's friendship with Hocc difficult for her to let go, but she demonstrated high EQ.

Yesterday Joey didn't really have any smiles at the event, but she was accompanied by 3 EEG executives and 6 colleagues for the interview. Joey admitted she just got back to Hong Kong from her vacation to Korea with boyfriend Wilfred Lau (See Hing). Because she knew a lot of reporters would be waiting for her at the airport, she decided to use a different method of transportation to get back to HK. She said: "After so many years, I have always kept my relationships low-profile. From mid-year until now, the rumors have been going on and on. It hasn't stopped, which has indeed been bothering me. I don't really want to share my personal life with the public, and I hope everyone will understand some of the flaws in my personality."

Joey generously and took initiative to speak of Hocc's sexual orientation issue. She said: "Ah Goo (Hocc) voiced out her sexual orientation, as a friend I definitely support her. Her action was not done for herself, it is rather fighting for justice for a large group of people. If I was given the opportunity, I would do the same. It is not a big deal. Living in this world, there are just too many things to follow."

Reporter: Are you upset with Hocc?

Joey: Of course not. We have so many years of friendship. It's hard to change in just a few words. She will forever be my good friend.

Reporter: She dares not to mention your name again?

Joey: The friendship of two people, it is not necessary to provide any explanations. We all know how much this relationship is being accepted.

Reporter: Did you break down emotionally due to Hocc's 'bisexual' comment and the Netizens speculations?

Joey: No. I've been through a lot in my career, the words "break down" is too serious. However, I have indeed been troubled, I feel exhausted. I'm not unhappy because of the bisexual speculations. I'm used to being misunderstood and misled by the public and media. My personal relationships, it is between two people. The most important is to be able to accept love, other things, there is no need to think too much or to go explain.

Joey frankly expressed she didn't want her relationships to affect her work nor will she doubt Hocc on whether she's using this as a publicity stunt to promote the release of her upcoming album. Also, Joey's fans created a large poster and signboards with the words "We Will Always Be With You" to support her. However, Fans used rainbow colors on the poster which coincidentally are the theme colors for gay rights. Wonder if it's really just a coincidence? Or was the poster used to convey, no matter what Joey's sexual orientation is, Fans will still "always be here" to support her?

Lawrence Ng Fell For Ada Choi: I Had Thought of Pursuing Her

Lawrence Ng entered the industry in 1983 after graduating from the 12th TVB Artistes Training Class. He started off playing villains and later switched to professional roles, such as doctors or strong businessmen. Lawrence frankly expressed he can fall for someone easily and therefore has had several rumors in the past with his co-stars. He was first rumored with his classmate Yammie Lam, then with Ada Choi in 1998 from Healing Hands, 2002 with Iva Law from Fate Twisters. Ada Choi's rumor drew the most attention. Although the two never officially developed a relationship, Lawrence admitted he really did fall in love with her!

LAWRENCE: "In 1998 I was shooting producer Gary Tang's Healing Hands. I portrayed neurosurgeon Dr. Ching Chi Mei (Paul), the role was very well-received and the pairing with Ada Choi was very popular. That year we won the Best On-Screen Partners award at the anniversary and even in 2001, we won the 'My Favorite On-Screen Partners' award for Healing Hands II. The pairing was well accepted and my "relationship" with Ada was even more expected.

Working with Ada, we really do indeed have a lot of chemistry, many people asked me if I developed actual feelings for her? At the time, neither of us were married yet, I saw she was a beautiful girl and pretty nice, I really did think about it! At the time, we continued collaborating in a few more times in other series and became friends. A couple starts off as friends, then develop mutual admiration and finally develop into deep love.

Although I am an actor, to me, acting and reality are actually about the same. Once the cameras start rolling, I treat it as if its real. In the series, I really did fall for Ada, but in real life she's actually very rough and mean, very much like a "big woman". Off screen, I really did have the feeling like love sparked, I really thought of pursuing her! Back then when we were in Files of Justice V, we were already playing a couple, then the second and third time was in Healing Hands. We slowly came into more contact, but Ada was upset because she said I only started talking to her after the second or third time we collaborated! That time, it was difficult to get out of character for me, perhaps I really had the feeling. I thought...actually Ada really isn't that rough after all! At the time, I didn't tell her [about the feelings]... I didn't have the courage to tell her! I have to really think about it first... we were initially good colleagues and if this ruins the relationship, that wouldn't be good! In the end, because I was afraid of damaging the relationship, the feelings eventually faded!

Then in Healing Hands III, we had already become very good friends. When Ada got married, she invited me to her wedding and usually when I come back to Hong Kong, I would go visit her too because I'm familiar with her husband (Max Zhang) too! We collaborated in a Mainland drama before, at the time the producer told me they were dating. I can say I watched them date and I'm happy that she found her Mr. Right. At the time, I also met my current wife (Sek Yeung Chi). Many fans have asked me about my "feelings" for Ada, and I have said it before on Weibo. Ada responded to me too, she said luckily I didn't actually liked her, otherwise I would be in such misery! Haha!

In 2002, when I collaborated with Iva Law in Fate Twisters, we developed feelings after seeing each other day and night. However, we were only together for a year. In between, I went to Beijing for work and found another girl, who was even more suitable for me. Unexpectedly the media started saying that I was a three-timer and called prostitutes. I was very upset, it was really hard to take. In the end, we broke up because of this incident."

Ada responded to Lawrence's confession that he did have feelings for her in the past. She said: "Of course I felt it. Actually I had several pursuers in this industry, I know clearly who I can only be friends with. After all, I won't risk losing my friendships!"

As Lawrence's good friend, Ada frankly expressed they have differences in their personalities, "It may not be his problem, it could be my problem. And I wanted to find a Christian boyfriend! (Convert him?) No, Lawrence was Christian too, but he later converted to Buddhism. But, Lawrence is a very loyal friend, he's a great friend. One time a PA asked us if he could borrow some money from us, but he sounded like he was lying to me, so I didn't agree to lend him the money. Lawrence, on the other hand, did lend him the money. Later, I asked Lawrence why he did that? Lawrence said the most important is to help the person first! So, I think he's a wonderful person!"
